Kenyan Diaspora Nurses Invest in Their Future At Herencia

Kenyan Diaspora Nurses Invest in Their Future At Herencia

By Herencia Comms Team

When we walk into a hospital, seeking answers, healing, and hope, there’s always someone there to meet us—calm, attentive, and steadfast. Nurses. The often-unsung heroes and heroines of our healthcare system. They comfort, treat, and care for us, putting themselves on the frontlines day in and day out to ensure that every patient leaves better than they came.

Yet, beyond the hospital walls, how often do we pause to consider their wellbeing, their dreams, and their futures? Especially when it comes to investment opportunities like real estate, how many platforms are thinking about what’s best for the very people who take care of us?

That’s exactly why Herencia was proud to connect with a remarkable group of Kenyan nurses in the diaspora (KENID), who returned home to give back through a free medical camp held in Rumuruti, Laikipia County. The event, which took place at Rumuruti Sub-County Hospital from 26th to 28th June 2025, was organized in partnership with the State Department for Diaspora Affairs.

These nurses came not only with stethoscopes and syringes but with compassion, expertise, and an unwavering commitment to community. And amid the bustle of blood pressure checks, diagnostics, and health education, Herencia had the privilege to engage with them—not as patients, but as people with aspirations beyond their medical scrubs.

Derrick Samambo, our Real Estate Lead at Herencia, held an inspiring session with the nurses to share the vision and value of Herencia—a master-planned gated community offering premium serviced plots designed for Kenyans who want a secure, future-proof investment. In this session, Derrick painted the picture of Herencia not just as a real estate opportunity, but as a lifestyle investment—a sanctuary for those who give so much and deserve a space to call their own.

For nurses who spend their days caring for others, Herencia offered a moment to reflect on their own futures. After all, what could be more rewarding than owning a piece of home—a peaceful haven in a thriving, well-thought-out community?

Herencia was not just present to sell land; we were there to listen, to appreciate, and to affirm one powerful message: our nurses deserve the best—on the ward and in the world. And that begins with investing in a future that honours their sacrifices, celebrates their contributions, and supports their dreams. Because heroes deserve homes too.
